O 4º álbum de estúdio do Ghost, estreou em 3º lugar no Top 200 Albums da Billboard, sendo que ficou em 2º no Top Current, 1º na parada Rock e 2º na parada Vinyl, com 65.653 álbuns vendidos.
“Prequelle” também estreou em primeiro lugar na Suécia, Noruega e Finlândia, número 1 entre álbuns de Rock no Reino Unido, e Top 10 geral no Reino Unido, Alemanha (2º), França (4º), Austrália e México. Isso segue mais de 25.000 pré-encomendas do álbum, mais de 5 milhões de visualizações do primeiro single, “Rats”, e o anúncio das primeiras datas da nova turnê. “Rats” é atualmente a 4º faixa mais tocada na Active Rock Radio e foi a mais tocada na Music Choice.
Lançado no dia 1º de junho, “Prequelle” está agora disponível digitalmente e fisicamente via Loma Vista Recordings. Em 14 de junho, o Ghost se juntará ao Candlemass para homenagear o Metallica, apresentando uma de suas canções, enquanto os membros Lars Ulrich e Robert Trujillo recebem o Prêmio Polar de Música do Rei da Suécia, Carl XVI Gustaf.
Além disso, o Ghost anunciou uma massiva turnê pela América do Norte incluindo o já anunciado show no The Forum em Los Angeles, CA e no Barclays Center em Brooklyn, NY, que começará no dia 1º de novembro em Chicago, Illinois. A banda irá parar no Canadá para shows em Toronto, ON e Laval, QC em dezembro.
